In
working within a range of images I find the tools with which to best express
myself. I no longer see any difference between figurative, representational,
or abstraction. In painting it all comes down to the mark and what that mark
implies. I compare it to the capacity to communicate through visual languages.
We are all in constant movement, both in time and space, and it becomes
apparent to me that all of my work marks that experience, my experience. In that
way I speak the language that best communicates a junction in time and place. |
