I believe art can awaken people’s spiritual side and thus motivate them to better themselves and the world around them. One of my fundamental goals as an artist has been to make art accessible to as many people as possible, which is why I’ve focused on mural painting and printmaking. My goal has been to transform spaces and people with my creative work. My murals and studio work reflect both Mexican and Mexican American culture. I try to transform traditional Mexican symbols to make them fit the modern world and make them relevant to Latino life in the U.S.
